NOS Review 2022 - Incident Management Consultation

Incident Management Consultation

If you work in a land-based industry, Lantra needs your help with the latest review of the National Occupational Standards for Incident Management.

The National Occupational Standards (NOS) are a Nationally recognised set of standards which list the functions, tasks, skills and knowledge required to work in the land-based engineering sector, competently and safely. The NOS also form the basis of qualifications, training and apprenticeships within the sector.

With the fast pace of change within the sector, we need to ensure that the NOS, and subsequently the industry qualifications, training and apprenticeships, are up to date, fit for purpose and meet current regulations and industry requirements.

This is why we need you - as industry experts - to get involved with the review and help shape the NOS, qualifications, training and apprenticeships for the future.

Following research into the different types of incidents and emergencies encountered in the land-based sector, standards have been gathered together to cover prevention and preparation, response and investigation of incidents at all levels from operator to responsible organisations.

You can get involved by following this link to review and comment on the revised draft standards are applicable to your job. If you would like more information, would like to receive the standards by email or would like to provide feedback, please contact jenny.smith@lantra.co.uk.

The consultation is open until Sunday 11th December 2022 and the final NOS will be available for use in March 2023.
