Learners starting a Modern Apprenticeship must be registered on MA on-line with Lantra via the training provider. Please check each framework regarding the registration period as each framework differs slightly.

The Training Provider Modern Apprenticeship Registration form should be completed and then returned to us with the necessary supporting evidence. We will inform you when approval has been granted.

Modern Apprenticeship Certification, Proxies Information
This area will give you all the information you need about Apprenticeship certification:
Learners name
If a Learner has changed their name for whatever reason, but their certificates are in their previous name, then you must provide official evidence that proves they are the same person e.g. Deed Poll change of name approval (this must be uploaded to the additional documents tab on MA on-line). Please also check for any other errors on certificates i.e. DOB, gender, as this causes delays in processing applications.
Valid certificates
Please make sure all certificates:
- Have a signature on to validate them
- Are clearly copied so that the backing and logos etc are clear and legible
- Are in date at the completion date of the Modern Apprenticeship.
Completion date
Please make sure you do not submit for certification on MA on-line until all certificates which are required for the framework, have been received and uploaded.
Transferring from one framework to another
We will not allow learners to transfer to later frameworks.
Payment
Lantra uses an online system known as MA Online for registering and certificating learners. Once you have submitted an apprentice for registration on MA Online, we will require payment of £50 per apprentice to be sent to us via BACS, cheque, credit/debit cards (please make cheques payable to 'Lantra'). To ensure a smooth process, please complete the payment notification form and send this to Lantra.

Returning incorrect certification forms
If you upload incorrect evidence to MA on-line, this will be rejected for you to revisit and resubmit.
Re-prints of certificates
We are happy to supply replacement certificates free of charge when the mistake is ours. But if the mistake is due to incorrect information supplied on the certification request form, there will be a £5 charge. Download a certificate re-print form for replacement certificates below.
Employer Enhancements
If you have a new Learner who wants to complete an additional employer requirement that is not listed within the framework, please contact our Apprenticeship Certificate Administrator Team on 02476 696 996 extension 3183 or 3123, for confirmation that it will be accepted as a substitute. Please do not wait until the Learner has completed the Modern Apprenticeship. This will be too late to correct if we disagree and will disadvantage the Learner.
